The Cleveland Indians picked up a win at Somers Park, knocking off the New York Yankees, 4-3. On the mound for Cleveland was right-hander Hub Perdue, who played a pivotal role in the win. Perdue picked up the win for Cleveland, going 8.2 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 4-1. Harry Kane picked up the save for Cleveland, his 3rd of the year.

With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Ray Chapman had a game-changing hit. The Indians shortstop slammed a run-scoring triple off Ed Summers, making the score 4-3, Cleveland.

"It's a mindset," said Perdue. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."

Cleveland is now 21-7.
