Athletics Suffer 5-2 Loss to St. Louis
|
The St. Louis Browns picked up a win at Sportsman's Park IV, knocking off the Philadelphia Athletics, 5-2. Starting pitcher Louis Drucke played a key role in the triumph. Philadelphia drops to 9-18.
St. Louis catcher Rowdy Elliott helped his team with a 2-run single in the bottom of the third. For the game, Elliott was 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Drucke said after the game.
