Brooklyn Robins starter Vean Gregg was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Cincinnati Reds, 6-4. The save went to Elmer Steele, number 1 for him. At 15-16, the Robins claim 4th place in the NL.

Larry Doyle did his part for the Robins, producing a solo home run in the bottom of the second inning. For the game, the second baseman was 1-4 with a home run.

"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Doyle. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
