Reds Not Competitive in 6-0 Loss to Philadelphia
|
Lefty Tyler of the Philadelphia Phillies humiliated the Cincinnati Reds at Baker Bowl today, spinning a complete game shutout and holding the visitors to 4 hits.
"He stayed aggressive and his ball was really moving," said Cincinnati manager John Mullen, after the game.
Tyler whiffed 2 and walked 0 in the 6-0 win.
"If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Tyler said. "I was making good pitches the entire game."
This year Tyler has posted a record of 2 wins and 3 losses with a 2.05 ERA. He has appeared in 9 games and struck out 32 in 74.2 innings.
