White Sox Take Tight Tilt
|
The Chicago White Sox picked up a win at Comiskey Park, knocking off the Detroit Tigers, 4-3. On the mound for Chicago was left-hander Willie Mitchell, who played a pivotal role in the win. The White Sox now own a record of 23-24.
In the bottom of the seventh, shortstop Bill Wambsganss hit a run-scoring single to left. The single, which was hit off of Nick Maddox, gave Chicago a 4-0 lead.
Mitchell said his team "played with focus."
