Giants Tag Braves with 4-1 Loss
|
The New York Giants called upon starter George Daly, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the Boston Braves, 4-1. Daly, now 2-0, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. At 19-26, the Giants are currently last in the NL.
Eddie Collins Sr, the 28-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Collins Sr contributed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put New York up, 3-1.
"It's a mindset," said Daly. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
