The Cleveland Indians managed to get by the Washington Senators, 5-4, at National Park. Cleveland third baseman Heinie Groh set himself apart with his performance. With the victory, the Indians upped their record to 31-19.

The critical at-bat for Cleveland came in the top of the 11th inning. With one out, Groh hit a sacrifice fly, putting Cleveland up, 5-4.

"You can never predict what'll happen," Groh said. "That's why you play the game."
