Dougan Tosses 4-0 Shutout
In an outstanding mound performance, Cleveland Indians starter Stan Dougan fired a complete-game shutout against the Washington Senators at National Park today.

Dougan was the key to the Indians's 4-0 win. The 27-year-old right-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 6 hits and 5 walks he allowed.

"6 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout."

In 13 starts this season Dougan has fashioned a 7-3 record and a 3.00 ERA.
