Glaze Too Tough, Blanks St. Louis
|
The New York Yankees rolled to an easy 5-0 win over the St. Louis Browns at Brush Stadium (AL) today. Leading the way to victory was starter Ralph Glaze, who shackled the St. Louis Browns and held them scoreless on a 6-hitter.
"This is what every pitcher wants to do when they go out there," Glaze said in his postgame press conference.
This season Glaze has fanned 46 in 111.1 innings and collected a 7-4 record with a 2.34 ERA.
