St. Louis Grabs 3-2 Road Win
|
The St. Louis Browns did just enough to secure a victory over the Detroit Tigers, 3-2, at Navin Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Bob Shawkey. The Browns raised their record to 23-44.
Having an impact for St. Louis was Possum Whitted. In the top of the second inning, the 25-year old first baseman had a run-scoring double to make the score 1-0, Browns.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Whitted said after the game.
