Washington Beats St. Louis as Rucker Throws 1-0 Shutout
Nap Rucker of the Washington Senators shut out the St. Louis Browns 1-0 at Sportsman's Park IV today, holding them to 1 hit with no walks and 6 strikeouts.

Pressed for comments on his club's defeat, St. Louis skipper Ducky Hemp called the outing from Rucker "a jewel."

"The way Rucker was pitching, it would have been tough for anyone to beat him," he said.

In 21 starts this season Rucker has registered a 14-6 record and a 2.30 ERA.
