Bats Fail for Giants in 7-1 Loss
|
St. Louis Cardinals starter Ben Henderson kept the New York Giants hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 7-1 win. With the win, St. Louis pushed its record to 59-44.
Henderson, who led the NL in wins with 26 last year, pitched a complete game for St. Louis. Henderson surrendered 5 hits over 9 innings and struck out 3. With the win, he moves to 10-8 on the season.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Henderson.
