Robins Rally to Eke Out Win
The Brooklyn Robins beat the St. Louis Cardinals, 5-4, at Robison Field. The win was due in part to shortstop Ken Nash, who was 5 for 6 with a home run, a triple, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. The Robins bumped their record to 53-50 with this latest triumph.

Jack Lapp's hit in the top of the 14th was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a fastball from Babe Adams for a run-scoring single. It put Brooklyn in front, 5-4.

"Our team showed some gumption," said Lapp. "I like it."
