Late Rally by Browns Locks Up 3-2 Win
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the St. Louis Browns and New York Yankees.

Ed Summers pitched well, but the New York Yankees still lost the game, falling 3-2 to the St. Louis Browns at Brush Stadium (AL). The Browns raised their record to 42-65.

Late-game drama came in the top of the eighth inning. With two out and a runner on 1st, the batter, Frank Baker, hit a run-scoring double. It helped St. Louis seize the win.

"It was a solid team effort," Baker said. "That's usually what it takes to win."
