Senators Take Tight Tilt
Fans watched the Washington Senators and the Boston Red Sox fight to the finish.

The Washington Senators beat the Boston Red Sox, 4-3, in part because of second baseman Max Carey. He was 2 for 3 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Washington has now won 4 in a row.

In the top of the sixth, center fielder Benny Kauff hit a 2-run single to right. The single, which was hit off of Guy Morton, gave Washington a 4-3 lead.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Kauff told the Washington Gazette.
