|
The Detroit Tigers defeated the Chicago White Sox, 5-1, in AL action at Comiskey Park. Detroit pitcher Walter Johnson had a standout performance. The win for the Tigers lifted their record to 66-46.
Red J Smith was 2 for 5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once against the White Sox. In the top of the first inning, he hit a 2-run single, putting Detroit in front, 2-0.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Smith.
