Senators Win, 5-3, in Extra Frames
Cleveland got a terrific performance from pitcher Doc Crandall, but it wasn't enough to beat the Washington Senators. Washington won the Somers Park contest, 5-3. Crandall threw 9 innings allowing 3 runs for the losing team. The win belongs to Lou Schettler in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Harry Kane took the loss for Cleveland. Washington raised its record to 59-54 with the win.

In the top of the tenth, Washington shortstop Everett Scott had a run-producing at-bat. Facing Cleveland hurler Harry Kane, Scott reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 2 runs. That made the score 5-3, Washington. For the day, Scott did the little things right to help the team.

"Our team showed some resilience," said Scott.
