Braves Turn Back Philadelphia, 4-2
The Boston Braves got a strong performance from pitcher Oscar Baker, who stymied the Philadelphia offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Baker Bowl. The win puts Boston at 7-5.

Tied up with the Phillies in the top of the fifth inning, the Braves got a boost from left fielder John Wilson. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Wilson saw a 1-2 curveball from Frank Browning and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Boston on top, 2-1.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Baker, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
