Phillies Earn 6-3 Win Versus Cincinnati
|
The Philadelphia Phillies topped the Cincinnati Reds, 6-3, in NL action at Baker Bowl. The standout performance belonged to Philadelphia pitcher and Derry, New Hampshire, native Lefty Tyler. Tyler got the win, improving to 12-15. He allowed 6 hits and walked 3 over 9 innings. Tyler allowed 3 runs. With the win, Philadelphia raised its record to 61-59.
Tyler came through for the Phillies in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Philadelphia leading 4-3, the pitcher hit a sacrifice fly. It made the score 5-3, Philadelphia.
