The Washington Senators earned a win at National Park, stopping the Philadelphia Athletics, 6-2. Starting pitcher Nap Rucker played a big role in his team's success. Philadelphia falls to 5-9.

Max Carey gave Washington a good at-bat in the bottom of the third inning. With the bases loaded, he grounded out, driving in 1 run to help send Washington to the win.
