The Brooklyn Robins called upon starter Herb Byram, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the New York Giants, 6-1. Brooklyn currently is in 4th place in the NL at 35-37.
Bill Bankston, who is tied for 9th in the NL in triples with 6, chipped in for Brooklyn with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in.
