New York Yankees starter Ralph Glaze was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Philadelphia Athletics, 6-5. New York reliever Ralph Caldwell got the win, raising his record to 3-1. George Disch was tagged with the loss.

Baby Doll Jacobson, who finished 5th in the AL in on-base percentage with .407 in 1913, helped out the New York cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the right fielder went 4 for 6 with a triple, 3 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI.

"I made some pitches when I had to," said Glaze.

With the win, the Yankees have a record of 35-25.
